New to 3x3 Basketball?

3x3 Basketball is a variation on 5v5 Basketball, featuring two teams of three players competing in a half-court game with one basketball hoop. There are also specific rules of the game which make it different from standard 5v5 basketball, played on a full court. A long-time staple of street/park games, 3x3 basketball is now an international sport thanks to the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), which promotes the game with 3x3 tournaments like the FIBA 3x3 World Cups for men’s and women’s basketball teams.  The sport is now both an Olympic and Commonwealth Games sport.

What are the Rules?

FIBA3x3 have created a Youtube video, explaining the basics of 3x3 basketball for all those new to the game.

You can watch it on The Official Rules of the Game - FIBA 3x3 - YouTube
